I think it all boils down to how desparate we are for GCs, many people here on H1 just want to count their valid H1 visa and multiply them by thier montly savings,
but Irish and many illegals itz a do or die situation they are smart people to knock on law makers door, before law-enforcing people knock on thier doors
If they werent desperate, they wouldnt be depressed due to BECs. The whole point of being depressed is because the validity of H1 is only as long as the job is valid. If economic recession hits and there are massive layoffs, even if you are in your first year H1 with 5 years remaining, you would be out of status on your way to becoming genuine illegal. And if you are in 7+ year of H1, then ofcourse you are walking on thin ice.
Trust me, there is desperation out there.

It is easy to say than do. Flower Compaign worked once because they made a mistake. They can return the flowers to the senders. You cannot make law change in the divided issue that much easily.Hunger Strike could lead legal issues for participants some times. So that is impractical. For arranging rallies IV volunteers may have to work for months to organise. After some people's hardwork only a few hundred people will turn up. So rally will become get together.

Not to blame IV core team, but other members who would just come and read blogs. Specially EAD holder's, I hope their eyes are opening up to new realities. Yesterday, my sister in law entered USA from Newark Airport and she witnessed three people holding HIB visas get cancelled at the immigration point, one had EAD.

There seems to be no pattern among recent approval rate-My coworker didn't get any update from USCIS- he directly got his physical GC on 4th Sept.
We are still waiting, tried InfoPass, Raised SR, Contacted Senator etc.etc. I am willing to go to Lincoln,NE if that is what it will take to get GC:D

So I am assuming we have a way to track who they are. Why don't we tag them - on the colored button on the top right, saying something like "xxx doesnot want to contribute but has posted 239 messages" and let people decide whether to read or ignore his message.

I will contribute to this fight. I wonder why they are going after us few legal people who follow all the rules and regulations and pay taxes and contribute to the economy and the society rather than going after the 12 million of undocumented workers :mad:
