Shortly after, Elizabeth posted a message on Twitter confirming, "For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago. Our close friends & family were aware of this."
No matter where the blame falls, Elizabeth told People magazine how she's coping, "I think I'm coping quite well, actually," she told PEOPLE at the Harper's Bazaar Fabulous at Every Age bash in New York Tuesday night. "We're all quite happy right now and trying to move forward."
